Kids Off The Block’s 6th Annual

Kids Off The Block’s 6th Annual “Feed A Teen” Thanksgiving Dinner 2013

Kids Off The Block, Inc. (KOB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide at-risk low income youth positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, violence, truancy and the juvenile justice system. KOB is hosting it’s 6th Annual “Feed A Teen” Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 23, 2013 to promote higher education and non-violence among our youth. During this event the attending youth will join the KOB Peacekeepers Program. Each child/teen and young adult will take a pledge to refrain from violence and activities that lead to violence.

Our goal is to feed 1,000 children/teens and young adults for Thanksgiving! Also to give them a sense of family, community and something to be thankful for. This event was started in response to the many youth who came to my house on Thanksgiving Day to ask if they could share our traditional family setting and dinner because they had no one to share with at home.

Funds raised by this event will enable Kids Off The Block to feed youth city wide, offer prizes, entertainment, continue to promote non-violence, and advocated for higher learning among our youth. Please join us by making a donation, volunteering or coming out to show support.

Thank you,

Diane Latiker – Founder/President
